I have 2 questions, if i wanted to run a slimmer electric fan for space can it still be wired up to work with the stock fan wiring, so i dont have to put it on a toggle. Also how powerful is the stock fan?

the stock fan is pretty stout, cfm wise, i think there are few fans that have more air moving capability. I don't see why you couldn't wire it up to work w/ stock wiring, only dillemma you would have is the stock fan is a 2 speed fan, and most aftermarkets aren't

I saw a post on here for the viper fans, they are very slim and move a ton of air... might want to look into that

I think to get much thinner and move enough air, you'd wanna look into SPAL fans. As long as you dont overdraw the relays in the CCRM, you should be able to use the stock inputs to control two speeds on the new fan (otherwise, if the new fan has one speed, I'd use the low speed turn-on for the new fan).

Or go the smooth route and use a variable controller (a la DcControl.com). I'm gonna do this at some point here (esp since my high speed doesnt come on with AC).

Good luck.

Anyone know what the cfm is for the stock fan? At high and at low speeds.
