i see black magic ( flexalite) has a newer one, in the summit catalog....i wonder if it's a pos to....looks like maybe they came out with a newer heavy duty modle to make up for their sub standard previous offerings......after my 3g is complete, when summer rolls around i'll be looking for one too.....but i don't need a wind tunnel at this point.....but if that new one works might not be bad.i guess time will tell....

I am running the black magic fan in my 88. I have never had any cooling problems, even in the heat of the southern NM desert. I was going to suggest that, but it looks like a lot of people have had problems with it. Good luck.

I'm running a Taurus fan with a switch and relay set up. Pulls a huge amount of air on high and the best thing is that it clears my waterpump pulley even with the Griffin 2 core radiator.

Yep. I had a Proform (Same exact thing as a Black Magic, but assembled in China, not the US) and it struggled very hard to keep my stockish 90 LX with a 2 core Griffen Aluminum radiator cool. I tore that damn thing off and put a Taurus 3.8 fan on... and on LOW speed, my car never ever goes over 195 degrees with the a/c blasting and 95 degrees outside w/ 100% humidity here in Florida.

I just scored a Taurus elect. fan on e-bay for $25. Although I can't wait to put it in, it will probably be a few weeks before it's actually installed. You can find some great deals on e-bay, just check out the shipping costs before you bid on anything.

I have a Ramchargers dual electric fan. It fits with plenty of clearance for the supercharger crank pulley and has no problems cooling. I have never had to turn it on high even on the hottest days. Another nice thing is that it is cheap. About $75 for the fan only or $125 for the fan, harness and relays.

Could somebody post install instructions for the both the Taurus and Mark 8 fan... Also 3g instructions. I need to upgrade my 87 as well, and I finally have the time. Where is the best place to get the 3g?
