What electric fan could i get that would help my car cool alot better that will bolt right up to the 5.0 with no problems?

I was looking at this fan.

And this one the seller says it will bolt right up to the 5.0.

They will sort of bolt right up, as in you shouldn't need to cut anything. You will need to run electrical wires, a fuse, either a switch or relay to turn it on. Since an electric isn't a stock item on our cars you will need to run these (electrical wires) and if it doesn't come with mounting hardware, you'll need to custom those as well.

i just bought and installed the flex-a-lite 3300cfm fan, i have no overheating problems, especially with the hot weather were getting here in florida.

Find a 1994-1995 Mustang GT fan or a 1996-1998 Lincoln Mark Viii fan.

Both fans will need some fab work, but nothing a circular saw can't handle. For fan controll you need to look into www.dccontrol.com By far, the best way to control any electric fan.

flex a lite...get the 185..it has the mounts for the over flow tank..i got the 180 and had to make my own
same thing same cfm..but nicer mounting for the over flow tank..about 20$ more than the 180

The OEM fan is mechanical (you have the stock fan right now, no?). The stocker requires no electrical input. The E-fan needs to know when to come on and turn-off, as well as a power supply to do so.

how do you set it as when to come on and turn off? i'm afraid it wouldnt turn on at the right time and my car would overheat.

the flex a lite 185 fan comes with a temp sensorer that goes through the radiator with a probe, you hook up all the wires with the included detailed instructions, and set the fan, it comes on automatically once it reaches the set temperature.

the 180 comes with it too..get the 185 for that nice overflow tank mounting


it comes with all the hardware and EASY to follow instructions...very good product...it sits nicely on the rad with a strong foam like seal...so it really creates a type of almost like suction.. pulls hard.. i feel the heat when i stand next to the car!!

i have a fan off a 97 windstar 6 cyl and i have never had any problems with it you just have to cut it little to fit you radiater

I hear that the Mark 8 Fan is the best fan you can get for this car

Fan fitment is a big issue with the famous Mark Viii fans. If you run a centrifugal style supercharger there pprobably won't be enough room to fith the fan inbetween the radiator. But if you run a N/A motor or a KB style S/C you will have plenty of room.

The Mark Viii is reported at blowing 4,000+ CFM if needed. They aren't lying!

u dont need that much pulling power if u have an aluminum rad...my electirc fan dosnt even come on when im on the highway

Get the one from the guy in Illinois. I have seen the fan inside his car, and not only does it work better than the stock belt fan, it looks better too. I only live about 20 miles from him, and I should be getting my fan from him in the next couple of weeks. It's definately worth your money!
