Please be more specific with what fan you have your eye on. There was a range of fans ('94-'95 GT/Cobra, '94-'95 V6, '96, then another in '97 IIRC.......... and so on).

I can say the 94-95 GT/Cobra fan works well. They had an issue with the fan connector melting when high speed shorted out, so check the connector for charring.

The 94-95 GT/Cobra fan is very similar to the 3.8L Taurus fan in terms of performance IMHO.

The Mark VIII is nice but much thicker. Unless you really need it, I'd actually go with a thinner profile fan (the two others mentioned). As I recall, the Mark VIII fan motors are pricier too (if you need to replace one).

Good luck.

I run the Mark VIII fan and you can trim up to 3/4" off the factory shroud as I did to get things to clear. Seems like most of the guys with these fans and a supercharger install them upside down as the fan motor is not centered in the shroud. The replacement motor is roughly $106 plus shipping from Autozone and its easier to buy it online rather than deal with the store. I just bought a replacement motor yesterday from Autozone online as I have been trying to get one through the local store for weeks now and they just cannot seem to order it. You can also get the factory plug for the fan on ebay.

I have heard really good things about the 3.8L Tauras fans and have one friend running a 95 GT fan with no issues.

I use a dual fan from a SVT Contour. It's very thin and has plenty of clearance with the supercharger. It also has the DC Contoller. Well worth the money. Remember, you do get what you pay for. I tried adding pics, but they are too big.
They can be viewed at www.cardomian.com Fyrfyter303.
