Hey Guys,

This would be my first post ever. I just bought a 2003 Mustang Gt and I love the car, but there seems to be one strange problem I'm having.

The dome light fuse is constanly blowing for some unknown reason.

I'm assuming possibly a short somewhere but I was just wondering where you would start on an issue like this.

It had an alarm system in it when I bought the car and I don't want to take it in for warrenty just to be told that it was a short caused by an aftermarket alarm system, that will be $200.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jonnypho

I don't have a manual in front of me, but I would check to see what else is on that fuse. Go through the list to make sure everything is in working order. Could be as simple as something is crossing the two poles on the light short-circuiting the circuit. If nothing is found, then the end result would probably be the alarm. Could you unplug that to see if it cures the problem?

It's most likely related to your aftermarket alarm, check all connections under the dash on the drivers side right under the steering column

a lot of alarm installers do HACK work, thats why non of my cars will have a alarm or remote start unless I install it.

Look under your dash and unplug the alarm. Throw it away to solve your problem.
