electrical problem, its driving me crazy

Just yesterday, my radio stopped working. the #8 fuse was blown. Every time i replace the fuse, as soon as i drive about a block the fuse blows again. I must have a short somewhere that causes it to blow. I've check all the lights that the fuse controlls, the power mirrors and the radio... still can't find it. Does anybody know where to look for this short? Please help, Tyler

It sounds like a frayed wire and when you drive it touches metal and shorts out and blows the fuse. You will have to trace all the wires for that fuse. Start under the dashboard and work your way out.

id start by unpluging everything on the circuit to see when the fuse stops blowing

so if the radio is disconnected and it dont blow, u have a radio thats shorting........

Yep - I do it the same way. If easy, I disconnect all systems on that circuit and plug them in one at a time (take a drive around the block or whatever you need to) till it blows. The last thing you plugged in is likely the bad one. Trace that particular system then.
