1 radio doesn't work but half the time. comes on and off with a turn, hit the gas, brakes. anything pretty much... what could be wrong??

2. the a/c and heater, will only blow out of the defrost vents. i have check all of my hoses and they are good. what else should i look for?? i am calling electrical, because it started right when my radio went majorly wacky

Does the display stay on on the radio and just lose sound? If so I have seen this problem many times, there are 3 harneses that go to it and the ones on the left side (when looking from the front) send the signal to the amps and that plug does not stey in the radio to well, I usually reinforce it with duct tape. as far as the air only coming out the def vent I would check the vaccume junction under the glove box close to the center console. It has several lines going in and out and I cant remeber if its black, blue or red that feeds the valve but they come out pretty easy if the junction gets jarred. The hoses are tight so see if you have one not connected or loose. If you did knock it loose before and just plugged it back in make sure its in the right spot because there are a couple spots not used on it. If that is not it make sure the line going to the vaccume can is ok (its under the passenger side fender) hope it helps.

okay, thanks for the help, but maybe i should have clarified something.. i have an after market radio... and the thing that makes me the most pissed is i got it professionally installed.. and yes the lights stay on, you can push the buttons and everything works except the sound part...

and are these lines for the vaccume junction on the back? because i have taken off my glove box before and saw no tubes from it... but i may have disconnected one if they are on the back when i reached back there to get my garage door opener.. i will deff check!!

for the radio should i just take it to the place that installed it?? or try pulling it out (they used a diff sleave so it doesn't go in and out easily ) and checking the connections myself??

Sounds like they went ahead and used the wire kit for it which means its going through the factory amps still. Personally I would run all new wires from the deck to all the speakers because if its a good deck the internal amp is way better than our stockers.

well if i were to do that. i would actually take the amps out of the car, so i can save some weight... but i am not going to do that right now, since i am wanting to sell my car, and that will be time i don't really want to put in it!! and how much better sound would i get... i can turn to 38-40 without distortion and the max is 50.. it gets loud enough to almost drown out my dumped mac, and o/r x with the top down...
