I have a 2005 Mustang GT and earlier and noticed that my windows, door locks, and headlights were not working properly. I guess you could say the electrical system overall was acting sort of funny, actually as I took my key out the ignition and opened the door to leave the car the radio and lights inside stay on it was pretty weird. so I took it to AutoZone got the battery checked in the battery was bad so I figured that was a problem and had the battery replaced but still giving me the problems. Seems like an electrical issue has anyone ever had this or know what it might be causing it. Mechanics around here are no help and just offer a diagnostics test at $100 which is ridiculous. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have smart junction box problems...have you had issues with water in the passenger footwell?

New SJB? Repaired? Maybe a connector? New fuses? What do you think. What things can I look at before going as far as purchasing a new box?

The problem that has been known to happen is the cowl drain on the passenger side of the car gets clogged with leaves and debris to where water can't get out. So every time it rains, water accumulates there until it gets to the height of the cabin air filter and enters the car through that opening.

Big problem there is that the SJB is located in the passenger kick panel so water entering in this area can very easily get to it and damage it.

Now, I don't really know what do look for there so I'd suggest doing some searching and reading online if you can. Other people have had this problem so I know there's documentation out there.

Just got threw checking my cowl drain, filter looked clean and there was no blockage or flooding. Headlights seem to be working fine now as well as the radio turning off correctly and my signal lights but windows still won't come down, now it's telling me my driver door is ajar but it's not and fog lights seem to shut off after I turn on the car

How long have you owned this car? Possibility the damage occurred in the past and is only just now rearing its ugly head.

You may need to look at the SJB and check for any signs of damage or corrosion.
