i took the ac out of my 5.0 but i cant find a good way to run the belt. my ac was also down on the lower left not on the top right like there sopposed to be. my power steering pump is where all the stock diagrams say my ac should be. can anyone help me out with this?

are you sure that wasn't your smog pump on the lower left? non-ac cars, and some aftermarket a/c delete kits relocate the PS to where the A/C should be.... any pics?

You prob have check engine codes stored for all the missing equipment.

You don't need to put it back, but it makes you think if they properly capped off all the vac lines that were associated with it

I that means you have no ac to start with. I wouldnt bother putting the smog pump back on unless you have emissions to worry about. Just make sure everything is capped off. Like stated above you will have codes stored but it will not make the check engine light come on. I drove mine for a year with the codes and recently got it tuned out. Also you will need a new shorter belt and run it like the red diagram. I would take a string and run it how the belt would run then messure it and go buy that size belt. The diagram above gives you a starting point but I needed a little longer than the 70.5

Make sure the holes in the back of the heads are plugged too!
