i was born in the seventies and was a true child of the eighties. so yeah i'm a geek when it comes to certain pop culutre phenomenon. i'll buy tickets ahead of time. i'll kick the snot out of anyone over the age of 17 who talks during the movie. i'll go on ebay and say 'man if only i had kept all of mine i could freaking RETIRE right now'. and what is all this insanity about??

looks like the details is going to be killer. if they screw it up i will burn hollywood to the ground.

Don't laugh but I did keep all mine. I got them out a few years ago to show my newphew. He was like "their made of metal". He was mad I would not let him play with them. Being a pack rat pays off sometimes.

I have a bunch of my toys too. I am another person that can't throw anything out. From the Transformers, I remember having that white Lamborghini and a purple or blue minivan.

That movie was being filmed here on Holloman AFB. They had a badass Saleen cop car and Saleen camaro..Yes I said Saleen Camaro. There are pics of them in
another thread on here somewhere. Optimus Prime will be some sort of truck , bumblebee is the camaro, also I know there is a Tank and an F-22 as well. I know a few people in the movie.

It's stuff like this that constantly reminds me that I need to take a week off sometime, fly back to Missouri, and raid my old bedroom closet for the buttload of old nostalgic crap I've got stashed away from my youth. A lot of it's not exactly in eBay fortune-making condition at all - I'm not one of those Über-geeks that kept everything in the original box and never opened it, I was all about rolling 'em around on the floor - but there's so much crap I need to dig out for all these retro-craze times that I can't let it sit there forever.

Transformers, Go-Bots, GI Joes, Sky Captain (anyone remember that silver bird dude with the strobe-like light in his chest?), Garbage Pail Kids, old-school Star Wars odds n' ends (including a stack of old Empire Strikes Back trading cards from WAYYYYYY back), Robotix, LEGO, and even an ancient big ol' Dukes of Hazzard die-cast metal General Lee ... one of the first toys I remember ever getting as a kid.

If I were to sell it all on eBay tomorrow, I'd probably make ... ummm ... enough to pay next month's cable bill. Maybe.

And WTF is this Bumblebee-as-a-Camaro nonsense? He's a friggin' Volkswagen BEETLE! ... hence the bug-themed name! (And wasn't he renamed Goldbug sometime after he got killed off/reassembled? What gives?) That's how it always ends up with these remakes and "modernized" rehashes of old classic franchises - some dingleberry producer/director takes all kinds of "artistic license" with every other vital aspect of a classic gig and warps it around to whatever they think will be more palletable to the masses of today (and what will, thereby, bring in more money).

In spite of the groovy super-short trailer I've seen, I'm almost afraid to see what Hollywood has done to Ghostrider and how they've twisted that whole deal around. It took 'em two tries to get even halfway close to what the Punisher should've been like, and the modern Dukes of Hazzard was just alllllllll kinds of wrongness...
