who needs a virus scanner. Seriously. By the time i get a virus that usualy means i've got so much **** on my computer it needs whipped anyways. So i just format.

So without a virus scanner, if you get a virus you can contribute to the spreading. At least with a scanner you can find out what type it is, and then remove it. On my last computer, I had 21 viruses from only about three months of no firewall, or scanner. I've had this computer for about a year, and the only virus I encountered was during a download. The download got about 30% done and I was notified the file was contaminated.

I also have a lot of documents on this computer that I would like to keep, and not have to format my hard drive. I'm also a pretty big gamer, so I would want my PC to run at it's peak performance.
