Hi ALL,

I'm reaching out to the Mustang Stang community for some help. I have a 1991 Ford Mustang LX convertible, I removed the wires to paint the sides not thinking of taking picttures. So now after painting the sides I'm lost. So can you guys please send me pictures of the wires of your stang, please? I know that some male parts have their female parts. The wires I'm more concerned about are the grounds, the red, yellow one, and the little box.

thanks again.

Here you go. The wires with the blue painters tape are the ones in question.

Your solenoid wiring is wrong.

I assume you have the older pre-92 style starter? If so, put the single wire down to the starter on one side of the solenoid, and all the others on the other side. Doesn’t matter which side gets what.

If it’s a 92-93 mini starter, slightly different.

The grounds look fine.

I can’t make out the single gray plug wire colors. It’s either the hood light or windshield washer pump test plug.

I have a 130 AMP alternator that I have not installed yet. Are those ground wires correct?
