I know the limits of the stock block is anywhere from 450-500whp, I am trying to plan for the future but I don't really want to put down the dough for a DART block which can handle 1000+whp.

Is there any kind of middle block which can handle 600-800whp?

dart is the way to go, but I realize they are not cheap. I have seen the 69-72ish 351 blocks handle 600-700. Not sure how safe that would be. I would save up a little more and buy a dart if your looking for 800hp

The FRPP Boss block sounds like its strong, and I think its a little cheaper than a Dart too.

Yeah that block looks really good, I am not looking for something that can hold like 1000whp...around 600-700 would be awesome which I am sure the BOSS can do.

I am in the same position, I am going to hold out till I have the dough. Even if I am not going to make 1000 I like to know I have some extra strength. I don't want to push any block where its right on the hp limit. My set will be turbo and right at 600hp, so I want to have a good block so if I ever feel like pooring the coals to it and running more boost I can. They say build it right or build it twice.
