Engine bore Size... ??

I'm tearing down a 302 that I got from a friend and and going to re-ring it.. I measured the cylinder bore size and it is consistent for all eight cylinders..
Ø 4.060 - Ø 4.062.. does this mean that the motor was bore .06 over? or do I need to measure the pistons? I'll be pulling them out shortly.. any one give me some guidance here?

That's 60 over size, the maximum any small block should be bored. Pistons should also have the oversize stamped into their tops. ( .060 )
