engine bore

i am building a motor for a coupe. my question is im boring the motor what piston size would work best ? iv always stayed with stock, thought i would try something different. here is my set up gt 40 heads heavy porting carbed car e 303 cam , or x 303,stock crank , its an 86 block is the reason im boring, thought about 30 or 40 over any suggestions

I've always been the .030 type of guy. A decent set of forged pistons are gonna cost $300 - $350. So you may want to look into a 331 / 347 kit like the CHP entry level Street Fighter kit for under $850? Its all about you budget and goals though

You should only bore it enough to clean up the cylinders. Theres no sence in boring a stock bore block to the max bore Only bore if needed.

its an 86 model block pretty scared up so i just figured i would go bigger
