I just had a 550hp motor built, and now I need to consider what tranny, rear and frame support to use. I'm kinda a noob when it comes to this, the quickest car i've had is my sc '87 gt that ran low 13's. Basically i need advice on what kind of tranny, rear/axles and support, I mean i'll have to use sub frame connectors or something right? It's a 351 that, originally, the bottom end was built for torque, to be used in a ford truck to pull. I just had another cam made to let it rev out to 7k and get a much higher peak torque. So far i've been told to just get a C6 and beef it up, 3000 stall. But as far as rear im clueless. The car has a the original possi in it, '83 capri. Um, any and all advice is much appreciated, and will probably be taken, so consider havin ur hands in on my project
P.S. I just wanna be able to hit 10's with normal aspiration, i'm told the engine is well capable, as long as i dont goof on the rest of dt and frame etc etc.
