Anyone have ideas for cleaning up the aluminum parts of the engine?
My 02 GT's intake/plenum, alternator, etc., are all oxidized and covered with the powdery white residue that unprotected aluminum gets. Any ideas on how to spruce up these parts?

Start sanding. 320 to 1500 grit, then rub some autosol, polish that off and just keep polishing until a mirror like finish is glowing from under your hood. It's alot of work but if you take one part at a time, you're laughing.

You'll probably need to do some light sanding and polishing if its really that bad. Try some engine degreaser/cleaner and see if that removes any of it. A good metal polish like Mothers metal polish should go a long way, but will be a PITA to apply.
