I've posted this issue in the past but this time i'm including the dyno sheet. As you can see, the engine cuts out at around 4400-4500rpm. The graph comes crashing down like the stock of the company that i work for!

Recap:

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=582644

Since the dynotune, the Vortech plumbing has been corrected, new MSD ignition, Crane Hi-6s, new plugs, wires and the engine was tuned properly.

Despite all that has been done... the engine STILL cuts out! I had 2 mechanics that supposedly specialize in Mustangs & muscle cars look into this and they are baffled as well.

Can anyone offer more advise?

PS- I've just put in another EEC-IV (A9L). I will test tomorrow morning.

Thanks.

I had a similar issue with my N/A motor and it turned out to be the tfi module.... Although I was making 308hp/330tq it had a terrible miss at about 4800rpm. I bought and installed an MSD distributor and it cured my problem. It would be cheaper to replace only the module but with a 115K and 15 year of use I chose to replace the distributor.

Hope this helps.

I just had an issue with my TFI module also. the motor run fine upto about 4800 rpms and then would break up really bad. I replaced the module with an accel TFI and all was fine again. my factory module had a burn spot on the contact plate about half the size of a dime. incidentally the module didnt go bad until a couple of weeks after the charger was on.

Mine developed the same issue shortly after my blower was installed as well. I got an MSD billet dist. with a new module on it, and the problem went away. Also I should add that it developed a stalling concern as well before I swapped the dist.
