I have a 90 coupe and recently purchased a new laptop. I would like to put it to good use and was thinking of trying some engine management stuff with it. I know that I have an OBD 1 computer, and I am not sure if I can do anything with it. Any info is appreciated.

Don't you need a tweecer, FAST, PMS or AEM computer unit in addition to the laptop? Well you don't need the laptop with the PMS but with it you can do more things.

Thats just it, I do not have the $$ for a new computer. I am just about to buy some new heads. I wanted to know what ( if anything) I could do with the stock one?

You will need some kind of software to interact with the EEC-IV. You most likely have an A9L, assuming T5 equipped.

If you want to learn about the TwEECer system I may be able to answer some questions, but I have only been using it for about a month now. I have some links to various forums and the TwEECer site on my website (see sig).

The tweecer is about $550, which is one of the cheaper systems.

That looks like exactly what I am looking for. I did not relize the cost. I suppose $550 is cheap as controlling goes, but it is still a lot to me. I'm poor.
