when I squash it to get up to speed it starts missing at about 3k.

Wires are newer, plugs are newer, cap is newer. I pulled codes 24 and 25 which are for DIS coils and VAT/ACT failures.

I bought a new coil and installed it about 20 minutes ago and it didn't help. and my alt is an OEM replacement from autozone, I bought it about a year ago. I'm thinking MAYBE the TFI module... cuz everything else is pretty much new(less than a year old)

The boost is at about 12-13, lower than normal but it still boosts.

Also, I should note that it only occurs while the engine is under-load. when you free rev it in neutral it revs up perectly normal.

Any thoughts?

well the TFI modules are known to go bad, when mine was missing , under load, it was the plug wires/plugs. How new is newish? also what brand, id check that if a TFI mod doesnt work.

-only time I've had that happen to me was when the vam hose collapsed, but it could also be any intake leak. All the hoses tight? Might only blow partially off under load. I'd check 'em, that's one of the easy "could be's".

I guess it could be the module, but when mine have gone (2 to date) they went all at once. Running perfect then the car was dead.
