Engine Problems: Need Some Help!

I have an '88 coupe that I converted to mass air. My problem is that when ever my car is cold it pops out the intake and surges. Once it gets hot it stops doing it, but if I turn on the radio or the lights it starts popping. I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help me out??Thanks in advance.

i had that problem when it was cold. its either a vacuum leak or the "pop" you hear is a lean pop. meaning your fuel pressure is too low.. good luck
