Trying to pull the full longblock out of the stang. I removed the six bolts that I can see held the tranny to the block, engine mounts are removed, and everything else that looked like it would cause a hang up have been removed. Problem is, the thing wont let go of the driver's side of the tranny. There is definately good seperation on the passenger's side, but the driver's isn't letting go. Did I miss a bolt somewhere? Any secrets to pulling it? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Did you disconnect the clutch cable?

I generally like to pull the engine & trans as a single unit. It is much easier to align the trans and bolt it to the engine when both are out of the car. The only problem with this is getting the car high enough for the trans to clear when you put everything back together.

Maybe its hangin up on the block/bellhousing alignment dowel.

On the lowest bellhousing bolt hole there are alignment dowels, maybe one is corroded and isnt sliding off.Have you tryed pounding the bell housing with a rubber mallet?

It is a T5, sorry forgot to mention that. The car is up pretty high right now, I may just try to pull the tranny out with it. Thanks for the advice guys, if anyone can think of anything else, let me know.
