I've got a spare '88 5.0L engine hanging from a cherry picker in my garage at the moment and I have an engine stand ready to go for it. My question is, what size bolts do I need to thread into the back of the block where the bellhousing would go so I can mount it up???

I used a set of main bolts from a junk 302 that i had here. right length and same thread pitch. Well they were the right length for my engine stand.

hope i have helped at least a little.

I know they are 7/16 course thread. Length can vary depending on the stand.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Thanks guys, I can't use the bolts from the bell because they'll be needed to install the other engine. This saves me a lot of back-and-forth trips to the hardware store!
