Enginge Formula 4 a high 6 to low 7 second 1/8th small block?????

just wondering if anyone had any ideas for my motor build...i have a 90 model coupe and i wanna know a fair priced way to run high 6s to low 7s in the 1/8th....all advice will be appreciated...more than likely will be a nitrous motor either fuel injected or carb dependin on what u all thinks best....thanks for ur help

thats what I run in the 1/8 my combo is in my sig. I had holley heads on it when I ran a 7.3 in the 1/8th. Now with vic jr's I have picked up 6 mph on juice and 4 mph on N/A. Need to get new found power to ground. Hoping to try it out in Aug at a test and tune. more info on my car and track pics in my car domain page.

347, AFR 205s or ported victor jrs . . . custom cam and you should be there with the supporting parts.

Or just throw a blower/turbo on a h/c/i 5.0

thanx for ur comments...the motor thats in the car now as trick flow heads are afrs that much better???...im new at this...

what trickflow heads do you have? as mention a Heads cam intake car and some juice or a blower can easily achieve your goals.

from what i was told when i bought the car it is a 306, trick flow twisted wedge heads, 1.7 rockers, 30 lb injectors, trick flow stage 2 cam with like a 563 lift and 294 duration, and a gt 40 intake, 4.10 gears, aluminum drive shaft, stock t-5 that i have already taken out to replace, and 150 dry shot that im also taken out b/c i was told that a dry shot would kill a efi motor...but thats where im at right now as far as the internals i dont know what it has

Sounds like you're on your way there. Get a better intake and a wet kit and you should be set. What are you running for exhaust?

A trickflow intake with there plate system for efi (wet of course) and I would say you will have your numbers. Of course you will need so sticky tires to put it to the ground.

exhaust is a off road x-pipe into what looks like mac mufflers...what trans do u all suggest...i wanna keep the car on the street

I keep buying used beat up abbused t-5's out of wrecked mustangs. O lucky number 6 i believe. I would stay with a t-5 if I were you but maybe astro guts in it.

is a tremec worth the extra money...will i be able to put it in and forget about trans problems

the tremec is harder to shift from what I have heard. Not as smooth as the t-5's. It is also heavier. Give astro performance a call and see how much a t-5 that will handle 500ft/lbs is worth.
