Anyone know about how big a hydraulic cam you can run in a 351c 4bbl before you start loosing the vacumn for power disc front brakes?

Thanks,

According to my engine builder (DSS Racing) I am running the biggest cam that will ASSURE enough vaccuum for power discs in a 9.5:1 compression 351W. Cam specs are in my sig. I am sure there will be debate on that number and DSS said they had a little wiggle room in there too but at least it is close.

I would guess so, just remember these are high variable replies. There are guys here who'll say a 300 degree cam with 0.614 lift is streetable since it is in their daily driver

I am bumping this thread back up since there are a lot of Cleveland fans out there who should be able to help.
