I'm a little preturbed because I got my ass handed to me by a turbocharged Lancer (not that bad really) and didn't quite kill a neon with a fart can by as much as I wanted to. How much HP/TQ do you think this would bring along with 1/4 mile time.

Accufab plenum w/ 70mm TB
Magnaflows w/ factory H
L/T's
3.73's (Don't argue with me about getting 4.10's )

Thanks.

with those mods you should be in the 250-260 rwhp range. but you can't use th stock h pipe with longtubes, you'll have to get a aftermarket pipe as for the 1/4mi times, noone can tell you that, it's all in the experience of the driver

that's a little optimistic to think he'll be pushing those numbers with a few bolt on's....

if he goes with full exhaust and the plenum combo, he should see 240-250rwhp untuned, with a tune he SHOULD THEN see 250-260rwhp.

Yo Merc, I was just PMin' ya.
Getting beat happens to all of us (except the ones who won't race unless they know they'll win...BORING!) I got my a$$ handed to me by an M3 a couple weeks ago. Beat badly. He was following me onto the highway, and we both got on it from the start. He walked (briskly) by me at about 80-90MPH. Boy, was I humbled. But it's all good...we both backed off soon after the walk-by, then I crawled up next to him at about 40MPH as we closed in on some traffic, tail between my legs, and said, Damn, your quick! He waved and smiled, and that was that.
The gears will give you the most bang for the buck. Get these and a cat back (or, at least some free flowing mufflers) before anything else. Replace the exhaust from back to front.

i was giving him the benifit of a doubt that he had a magnaflow cat-back. a tune definately would give those numbers, but i think that they are attainable w/o one as well. about 20 rwhp for full exhaust & about 10 rwhp for the plenum combo (at least from every dyno sheet i've seen on them). yeah it's a bit of bench racing, but i have personally been there when a stang has got 20 rwhp, untuned, on a dyno. the plenum bit i'm going off of the dyno sheets i've seen here, & other boards. there are a ton of variables we could argue about, but IMO the 250+ is aceivable untuned

You guys haven't mentioned some good upper & lower control arms to get that thing going in hurry! By the way what were your times in the 1/4?

He's probably seeing no more than 10rwhp gain from the exhaust mods. He still has the stock H-pipe. +7 from the accufab/tb combo. So..I'll round up all that to +20 rwhp over stock. So my guess is 245rwhp.

Your own sig shows a stock pull of 231 hp so going by that, an estimated 20 hp gain would put him in the 250s...plus if he's doing LTs he can't keep the stock h-pipe (as noted above)...at the least he'd have some high flow cats on there...i'd say if he did full exhaust and the t/b plenum combo he should see 255-260 rwhp

I wasn't sure about the L/T's and the factory H. I didn't think it would fit but I threw it out there because I knew you'd correct it. It'll be a bit before I get L/T's. Still trying to get the catback
