I have a 99GT, runs great but as always I would like to get a bit more
bite out of it. But don't we all ?

Question is,
What type of exaust do you guys reccomend ?
I want something that gives more performance, without cats,
and dosen't really drone at highway speeds.
I am currently looking at the Steeda and the Mac systems.
I am currently thinking of a X or H pipe and a complete Cat-Back
system. Since I am already in there, should I replace the factory manifolds
with a set of headers also ?

I am going to go with a MAC 70mm throttle body, and a MAC cold air system,
and a set of Steeda underdrive pullies also, if that makes any difference.
Thinking of getting a chip burnt after all of this is done also, will this take
away the everyday drivability of my car ? If not does it really help ?

I am just looking for around 300rwhp, or there about,
(OK so I have low standards), but I am wondering will this get me there ?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

I have a 2000 GT

I just added BBK Long tube headers, Cat H-Pipe, and BBK throttle body to my car. I started to get the off road Hpipe but decided not too since I like to cut some pollution and MIL eliminators have to be installed to fix computer errors. Your biggest seat in the pants gain would be from installing some 4.10 gears.

I already had a Flowmaster 2 chamber cat-back system and BBK cold air kit on the car.

The power is better than stock. But the biggest power gain was from the headers. You wont notice much gain from the cold air kit and throttle body.

I wouldnt go with a chip..you might as well get a power programmer for slightly more and have access to update in the future. Plus if you get the programmer you can fix the speedo probs caused by having bigger gears if you get them soon.
I dont think you will have any drivability issues unless you forget the MIL eliminators.
