Hi,
I installed an UPR O/R xpipe about 9 months ago on my 01 GT. There's been a small leak the entire time which I believe is coming out where the passenger side exhaust manifold connects to the xpipe. I can't hear anything that makes me think there's a leak, but I do notice exhaust smell coming through the vents when the heat is on, as well as when you stand right next to my car on the passenger side, you get a serious dose of exhaust smell as well.

I checked all the bolts and all are tight.
I remember putting some type of gasket back on the passenger side manifold connector that came with the stock Hp when I first put the pipe on.

Is there an after markey gasket I should get to replace the old one?
Did anybody else run into this after replacing the stock H? If so what did you do?

Thanks in advance,
Latere

either go to ninosport.com or to your local for dealer and pick up a new manifold gasket (theyre like 7 bux). Use some silicone sealant to ensure a good seal and that problem should be gone

Common problem with O/R pipes. Your car smells of fumes. It's not a leak as you would hear it trust me. Any exhaust leak at the manifold collector is loud. Toss it in 3rd gear at 1000RPM and give it gas. You should hear ticking from the pass side if there is a leak.

Most likely the car just smells more because of lack of cats. I have no cats on my 5.0 and the same thing you described happens to me. Just something you gotta live with.

Just out of curiosity.. I also have suspected I have a leak somewhere after putting my mac o/r h on.. I don't hear any ticking, but aside from the deep rumble when I rev it, there's a .. I don't know how to describe it, metallic tiny type sound? I think that's normal, and it sounds cool, but I am curious as to if everyone else has that tiny type of noise too.
