As some of you may know, I've been hearing ticking noise from the driver side engine bay area whenever I accelerated. So, I stripped down the car again and saw this.

Well I got to the header and took a picture of what I think where the leak is coming from. (

The stain is kind of brown and looks like it splattered out..

My other concern is the EGR tube.. but I cannot get the bolt out. So, I'm just going to replace the driver side header gasket and put some RTV around the EGR bolt.

So, is that exhaust leak? or is it something else? Thanks

I honestly can't tell from the pic. You can usually find a leak by looking for carbon trails if you can't locate it by just listening for it.

that look more like scratch you might have got during install? Honestly, If that weld is leaking, If at all, it'll be soo miner, i don't thing you'll hear it in the car. Plus they pressure test them thing befor shipping, and if weld is leaking, enough so that you can hear it while you driveing, they would have picked it up during test. I could be wrong, as I have not installed header in my car. My 2 cents would be to check all your connection, header gaskets and make sure all your bolts are still tight.

It's not a good angle but the leak is just behind the pipe... it's not on the pipe. It's the black dots above the bolt to the left. It's brown and looks like a splatter or spray.. I'll try to get better pics when I got header removed and install the new gasket.
