Exhaust leak prevent?

Has anyone ever put a bead of high temp rtv on female exhaust flanges to prevent leaks?

Um, no. Where are you having the leak at?

Some do use a light coating of exhaust cement on connections when putting together a system just in case of a leak, but its usually not needed.

I've also seen it done. Never used it personally and never have had a problem.

getting a little leak at the back of the h-pipe to cat back connections.

I would pull the flow tube off the fitting and reconnecting looking to make sure everything is flush and that you tighten the bolts evenly. If you like to ensure it does not leak again when the flow tube it off put some exhaust cement on each connection to ensure it wont leak again when you tighten it.
