I got a set of Mac shorties used and put them on and have a bad leak. I put new gaskets on and tightened the bolts tight. Its only the passenger side leaking. I was wondering if I could double up on the gasket and maybe seal it better or would this be a bad idea?

I had a set of Mac equal lengths on the car when I got it and they loosened up over time and warped. They never sealed properly after that. I heard they also may leak at the collector. Check out all those things, those are the cheapest, if all else fails get a set of BBK, they have thicker one piece flanges, even used they are less likely to give you probs, atleast in my opinion...but good luck with the MAC's, try to make them work before you spend money

Has anyone tried heating the pipe with a torch and then tightening the bolts? Since ith is heat that causes the pipe to twist, maybe heating it read hot and then tightening the bolts will pull it back into shape.
