ok whats the deal here? I bought a set of mac shorty headers and put em on my 87. The car already has an o/r hpipe of some brand(was on the car when I bought it). I cant seem to get it to seal up between the Hpipe and headers. Ive tried loosening and and retightning. Im bumfuzzled. Any suggestions??? Thanks!!!

and if that dont work, pull off h pipe and inspect mating flange for gashes and or severe warping.

Driving it for a month like this will eventually show signs of where it is leaking from by the black soot escaping. Clean up area first though if you decide to do this.

My buddy at Marco Mufflers says that they get messed up easily, and people want them to fix it but its usually the flange, so he just tells them it will be awhile and puts some sensor safe high heat sealer all over the ball and then tightens them up and LETS IT SIT for a few hours, he said If I were to do this to not start the car for at least a few hours perferably a day so that the goo can fully cure.

He says it always works like a charm
