Just wanted to get everyones opinion on my exhaust setup. I'm running a pretty much stock motor and am upgrading my exhaust. I currently am running stock headers, into an h-pipe and flowmaster 2 chambers, with no cats. I'm upgrading to BBK long tubes with a bbk h-pipe. I'm going to dump the exhaust, so i wanted everyones opinion on this setup. I want something that is louder than my flowmaster 2-chambers. Will the 2 chambers be louder dumped? I was thinking about going flowmaster 1 chamber dumped. Will this be too extreme for street? Thanks in advance everyone. I'm sure alot of people have gone this way but i couldn't find any good older posts.

I had un-equal length BBK shorties with an o/r X-pipe, 2 chamber flowmasters and 2 1/2 pipes all the way to the back. The car had a nice sound to it, but not too loud. When I swapped transmission, I had to cut my tail pipes off at the muffler. With that set-up and dumped flowmasters, people tell me they could hear my car coming a block away :) . Hope that helps Good luck.

Man, how loud do you want to go? 2 chambers are already pretty loud for the street. Anyways, one of my friends had long tubes, with a x-pipe, and turn-downs (what I assume you all are calling cut offs) and I can hear him a few miles away at night when there is little traffic. he also runs an auto w/ a 3500 stall, sooo its gonna be at a higher rpm when he is cruising. Just my two cents, don't do 1 chambers for the street, tooo loud

i got mac headers and o/r h pipe without cats connected to two chamber flowmasters dumped before the axle and my car's plenty damn loud and sweet sounding. It does get annoying, but when you can drive around a parking lot setting off car alarms, it makes it all worth while :D

I have the same setup pretty much and I agree it is plenty loud and sounds great. I would go with this set up

me too, i have equal shorties, off road H-pipe, and 2 chamber flows all the way back...that my friend with the AOD was loud enough, i just did a t-5 swap and now its even louder....if u dump it, its gonna be sooo loud...my friend had dumps and same setup as me and it literally gave me a headache

spintech pro streets sound freakin sweet!

Yea, i've heard nothing but good about spintech mufflers, and there is only one way to really find out - find someone that has a similair set up w/ spintechs, and listen to it. Never listen on the internet, the clips are usually either weak, or you have a weak sound system, or if you have a subwoofer, it makes it sound too bassy making you think its gonna be awesome, when really your subwoofer is just picking it up too much or the bass on your system is too loud - So basically, i'm also lookin for someone w/ a close to stock motor w/ off road H and Spintechs to find the true sound of a spintech - And since i was 16 I've been calling turndowns and cutoffs, DUMPS - dunno if its right but sounds better - and its literal, its dumping your exhaust out onto the street - i did not like my dumps, they muffled my sound so took them back off and just the exhaust coming right out of my flowmasters was GREAT -

keep your tail pipes. if you dont think its loud enough after the long tubes than go to some 1 chambers. ive got 1 chambers on my car and they are definetly loud, the only cars in town that are louder than mine are the LS1's that are running the slp exhaust
