I have had both H and X pipes. I had an MRT-Catted H for three years. It was a good pipe but you get drone in the car with an H pipe. I just had a VRS catted X pipe put on and fell in love with the sound/tone. There is no drone in the car anymore and sounds amazing when you give her some gas.

MAC H or Prochamber (especially if you already have the Flowpaths).

I have stock manifolds, stock H, and Flowmaster's. I have an MAC O/R H and flowpaths ordered and on the way. Cant beat that as far as sound goes IMO.

My buddy has a 2000 GT with MAC Longtubes, MAC Flowpaths, and MAC O/R Pro-chamber and it sounds just freaking nasty. Even before he put on the longtubes it sounded mean as hell. I'd do the Pro-chamber if you're able to chalk up the extra $100. Just my $.02

I love my o/r X pipe. Mostly, since everyone who owns a Mustang practically sounds the same, especially in the 5.0 world. It's all about H pipe+Flowmaster 40's. I went with BBK o/r X, and Super 44 with dumps, and it sounds real throaty, and growly, and VERY quiet in the car surprisingly with the dumps! I was amazed at how little noise made its way to the cabin, even with windows down.

There's a reason why a lot of the cars go for the same sound.....it's because they sound fkn awesome. Why be different if it means you sound like **** (not saying yours does)?
