I really want to upgrade my exhaust to something more beefy sounding but, still maintain the center exhaust. What have others seen or done? Will I require a new tune?
I really want to upgrade my exhaust to something more beefy sounding but, still maintain the center exhaust. What have others seen or done? Will I require a new tune?
There's not any options that I'm aware of except Magnaflow (sotck system for the '06 Saleens). What I did was to install some Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers and weld the center exhaust up to the back of the mufflers. It looks like I have retained the factory set-up, but now I'm dumping the exhaust directly to the ground. That greatly reduced the back pressure the tiny diameter center exhaust was creating. I also went to a Vortech supercharger which required the elimination of the small diameter center exhaust system (definitely something to think about if you go to forced induction). End result was a car that sounds very similar to my Cobra - much more aggressive sound - but not obnoxious.
......I didn't know that Joe made a center exhaust kit for the 05+ mustang I would be interested to see what it looks like as it is not on there website. I'm sure it is more aggressive then Saleen's version....
