i just got my first 00' gt and i can honestly say that im glad to be in the mustang family. with all these posers, ricers, and whatnot, its nice to have some "tradition" so to speak. anyways, i lookin for a new FULL EXHAUST for my car, but since im new to the stang scene, id like to know which exhausts are best weighing in the price, sound, and performance. i was looking at some flowmasters (around $500) but some of my friends say that borlas are better. i dont know. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Borla's are better than Flowmasters, but they are expensive. Magnaflows are just as good as Borla's, but cost about 1/2 as much. www.completeexhaust.com has them for $300 plus shipping. but you have to call them to get that price as Magnaflow does not allow them to advertise them on the internet that low. as far as the rest of the exhaust, get long tube headers and a Dr. Gax X pipe for the most power.

I'm running stock but my brothers running flowmasters and they sound boss. If you like extemely loud exhaust check out slp. I would also think they would free up some horses due to the lack of air restriction. Personally Im going with Flowmasters.

Bassani also makes an awesome exhaust. They too are a little pricey but I definitely don't regret getting them. Well worth the money. Its all in where you buy it though. houstonperformance.com has the best prices that I have found.

thanks. i was looking at a site that was posted and i saw a huge difference in the american thunder exhaust. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cgi-bin/flowmaster/17312.html <--flowmasters' price. http://www.completeexhaust.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=47&products_id=192 <-- completeexhaust.com's price. are these the identical exhaust's?

You can't go wrong with any of the above mentioned exhausts.
Some of it depends on how " loud " you want it. Flowmaster 40
series, which I have, are loud and have that classic mustang sound.
Magnaflow Magnapack are very loud and are stainless steel, which
cost more, but will last a long, long, time. I am going to change out
my flows for the SLP loudmouth which are super loud and have a
glasspack sorta sound. It really depends on what your personal
preference is. Go on Mustangexhaust.com and listen to some sound
clips. Good luck !!!!!!

Magnaflows. Then longtubes and short mid-pipe. Longtubes are quite well priced, but the install itself is pretty pricey.
