so i went through my receipts from my car and i figured i've spent about 22 grand on my car, mostly my money, which is a big deal only being a 17 year old. buying the car when i was 15, i worked my a$$ off while playing hockey to get the money. since the car itself was 4,800 which my dad paid for, i've made a huge contribution to upgrade and renovate.

Interior:
-new carpet/sound deadener/floor mats
-new upholstery
-new dash pad
-new sound system; head unit/speakers/subwoofer & amp
-new headliner
-new steering wheel
-new Classic Auto Air
-new seatbelts
-new center console

Exterior:
-new grill
-new brake light bezel

Drivetrain:
-5.0 swap (stripped down, cleaned, painted)
--new gaskets
--new valve covers
--new intake manifold/carburetor
--new distributor/coil/spark wires/spark plugs
--new water pump
--new a/c compressor
--new power steering pump
--new fan
--new alternator
--new oil pan/oil pump/filter
--new motor mounts
--new big block aluminum radiator
-t-5 swap
--new mounts
--new cross brace
-rebuilt 8" rear end
-new exhaust system (flowmaster delta flow 40s)
-new optima battery

Chassis/Suspension:
-new rims/tires
-new power front disc brakes
-rear drum rebuilding kit
-new spring coils
-new shocks
-new power steering kit

Etc.:
-new grade 8 bolts
-spray paint
-sand paper
-a lot of hours that i couldve paid someone to do half as good of job

its a long list, and hopefully i can keep this baby forever

It looks like money well spent.

God only knows what I've spent on my 73.

Live is good until you move out!!!!

I did the same thing as you with a Z71 in high school. 3 years worth of paychecks into it and then someone steals it. Invest in a ravelco unit or some other kind of security!

Ravelco Anti Theft Device

Kudos to you on an awesome car. Really is pretty.
