Is the plaque on top of the Explorer intake the same as the cobra and stock? I would love to change it to a polished one and powder coat my upper black.

I am pretty sure that they are the same size. I like the Explorer plate much bettter than the stock or the Cobra's.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Its the same size and is interchangeable with the stock HO plate, but it only has 2 holes for the hold-down screws, not 4. I have my original '86 plate on my Exploder intake.

The Cobra had a completely different-shaped plaque on top.

I used a polished '86 plate on mine and eventually made my own from a piece of scrap aluminum.

It can be a nice looking plaque - and they are inerchangable with the HO unit.

I've got 5 or 6 plaques around here.My plan is to polish them and sell them on Ebay.Even the standard T-Bird/Crown Vic "5.0 EFI" plaques look great when they're polished.
