Just wondering if anyone has found ways to get extra power from their 05 and 06 GTs without bolt ons?

tuner? technically not a bolt on, actually i dont know if its true but i heard on early 05's you can remove the hydrocarbon trap in the intake to free up alittle airflow, but you may need to tune for this so....

Yes you can remove the hydrocarbon trap and it doesn't need a tune (at least not in my experience) but from everything I have heard removing it does very little if anything for power gains.
Other than that I really don't know how you can gain more power without changing anything. Pretty much any simple mod would be considered a "bolt on."

Yeah I pulled that it did ok no problems so far. Nobody around here has one and its hard to stay on top of whats going on with them. It just seems like everything you do to them you have to have a tuner to go with it.

I think that's about right. The tune is the way to get these cars to wake up. I first tried a CAI and some underdrives. Not much help, but the tune with an SCT XCalibrator-2 really got my '05 going.
