Factory Active Alarm question

When i set the alarm my outside lights flash.

But when I disarm nothing flashes. Is this right? Every other car I've seen the lights flash doing either.

When you push unlock on the remote it puts the map light on instead of flashing the lights.

I wish that it flashed the lights both ways, sometimes I can't see the map light on from a distance.
