Fast Help Needed! Removing Upper Intake.

I am trying to remove my upper intake so I can repace valve cover gaskets. One the two rear bolts one is a stud and has a metal peice sitting on it. It wont budge can i losen it somewhere else or how do I get this peice off so i can get to the stud? Also anyone know if a quick way to remove the hoses under the intake?

my passenger rear stud had a metal bar that went back to the head that Ford put on these cars for some reason - you can remove it and leave it off as it does not hurt anything. Just follow the hoses and remove them from the vacuum tree, fuel regulator and other devices then pull them with the intake.

ok,, got it off, thanks. Anyone got any advice for when I put it back on?

Make sure you dont over tightin the bolts they will snap on you

10-12 lb-ft if you have a torque wrench. Hand snug with a 8" wratchet handle if you don't.
