is that felpro that you listed a regular gasket or a steel one?

Rick (or anyone) what do you recommend?

Those are the fel-pro 1011's (dont remember if they are the 1's or 2's though, one is for alum. heads and can be used on irons, while one can only be used on iron heads)

i cant tell from the pic if those are steel or not... im assuming not becuase of the blue line running through the gasket
how much are those?

Yes the 1011-1 is a regular gasket with a stainless steel fire ring. I use that gasket on near every combo, the MLS gaskets are not user friendly if you get greedy and do not have a handle on tuning.

The 1011-1 are $30/each

what if i plan on getting my car professionally tuned?

do you put the gasket sealer on the felpros?

NO the gasket sealer is for the "MLS" gaskets only...

It's different for each headgasket. Check Cometic's website...

It's essentially the "smoothness" of the deck. The deck has to have a certain "grit" to have the gaskets "sticking" properly.

Sorry for the lack of better terms...I'm pretty brain dead right now.
