where is the PCV valve located? Iv never replaced it before, whats it do and should I replace it?

I know quite a bit about cars but for some reason I allways overlooked this?

behind the upper manifold and its a t-coupler.connected to it on the lower manifold

should I replace it, I allways see it in the oil/filter and fuel filter section, I change those but never have the PCV

You should chage it if it has never been replaced. While you are there you should get a new pcv screen too. Those things can get real clogged with oil.

i recommend a new screen, grommet and valve. some folks have had issues with the aftermarket valves not fitting tightly (read vac leak). all three from the dealer are ~20 bucks. do it and forget for 2 years.

BTW, it vents crankcase pressure.
