Okay, I ordered the new 05 GT badges and got them today. I took one side of the old GT badge off and it took off some of the paint with it. The new badge doesn't cover up everything where the old one was ripped off, so what do I do about the paintless areas? How should I paint them, which I guess I have to do.

BlueOvalStangGT, didnt you put the new badges on? How did you keep the paint there, or what did you do to paint behind it.

I never had to paint anything when I put my 5.0 badges on, just that hole in the fender made thing's more harder.

i took one side off and it was much more difficult than i thought it would be. luckily no paint came off. i haven't taken off the other side (or put my new badges on) yet because i am thinking about getting it painted before to long.

can't you just use touch up paint you can get from the dealership?

Yeah, I guess touch-up paint will work. I'll try it, if nobody has any other ideas. But yeah, two places the paint came off.

Dam dude, I dunno what to say, will the stock badges still cover it up? Maybe you should put the stockers back on. Theres no way the 05 gt badges are gonna cover that up. Was your fender ever repainted?

Good excuse to repaint the car! Nah, I'd check a body shop and see what it'd cost to get it touched up with an airbrush or something if it's too noticable.
