fender question??

Hey guys i am gonna buy a passenger side fender for my 90' lx 5.0..A guy is selling this fender from an 86' mustang...I was wondering if it will fit on mine

well not really, it will fit, but it will not match your other fender and it wont mate well with your extentions to your grill. Unless all that is from an '86 also.

the only difference(besides the molding) is the size of the fenderwell. they were made a little bigger so ford could use the bigger wheels, starting in '90 i think.

I would try to get one that would match the year of the car...i believe 90-93's have the wider fender for the 16" wheels.

I think it will fit. You can always call the dealer ship and have them check the part numbers. 91-93 have the different fenders.

My parts catalog lists 1979-90 as all the same and 91-93 as different.86 ones should be a bolt on but some of the older ones will require you to drill some holes for the front molding and the fender extension.

im assuming your car is an 89 by your name so if it is then the only diffrence is that the moldings need to be switched with a heat gun and a paint scraper then some new double sidded tape and then your all set.
