Forced Infuction Quest

How much boost would a 4.6 Non-PI or PI engine be able to take before needing to rework the internals?

generally the rule is 8-10 with a good tune you'll be okay. there are folks out there running more than this, upwards of 15lbs and their stock motors are holding together however they are on borrowed time.

So if I were to dump in 6 PSI, Fuel Injectors & MAF to compensate, maybe even better spark plugs. The engine should be generally fine?

yes probably, but you never know. Some engines last forever on huge boost, other people blow their motor on the first day. you just never know with stock internals and high boost. I would not go more than 8 or 9 on the stock internals. 6lb kit and a tune should be perfect, liek the one from kenne bell

better yet I am guessing with the mileage in my sig that is on my mototr I would half to rebuild before boosting at all huh? It doesnt burn any oil ..minus the small amount from the crappy pcv setup on these cars heh
