Pretty common. Depends on the pump. Mine never shuts off in time when I have it on "auto". Always back washes up and waste fuel. I just try to go slow and freeze my tail off when filling it.
Its actually the pumps, To fix this issue go to a difference pump or gas station. I always find that Shell or chevron gives me no issues but anyone other than that must have cheap pumps because it always cuts out. The costco pumps are good, but sometimes not its just the luck of the draw. Sometimes flipping the handle upside down also works.
