Just a little bit of info for anybody that wants to know, I'm a newbie and not many people gave me any help when i asked about this so i just did what i thought would help. I installed a new headunit and new infinity kappa speakers ALL the way around and afterwards it didnt even stand up to the factory system. So i ask around but nobody helps, eventually i just say to hell with it and i bypass this dumb little factory amp....and what was the outcome? It sounds sooo much better than it ever has before. If anybody else has a system that doesnt sound too good, you may want to try bypassing a factory amp...if it has one. One question tho, would dynamat improve the bass substantially?

Sorry I never saw your initial post. I agree, bypassing the factory amp would make a huge difference... in fact replacing all your factoryspeakers/wiring/amplifiers/head unit etc.. with after market equiptment will make a huge difference... all depending on how much you want to spend.

To anwser your question Dynomat does help. By how much? it's subjctive. You will find Dynomat (or something similar) in all world class competitions. Dynomat is expensive.. I know there are cheaper substitutes but you get what you pay for.
