No. But keep in mind, less fuel = less weight. So fill it up.

just dont power shift, until you get a good shifter.
always have your Traction control OFF
Lets us know when you get your first speeding tickets on your new mustang.

Well first off while driving fast keep the radio down to listen to any problems with the motor. Run at least 1/2 tank or more if your driving really fast. Make sure no one else is around also for a high speed run.

But most important stay safe.

It also adds stability at high speeds. Yes it helps going 0-100, but anything beyond you'll use anything you can for a bit more traction.

Start by practicing 2nd to 3rd on an empty country road with a freind with you just in case. Just launch at 4800 rpm for starters hit 2nd then 3rd by only half clutching do not deep clutch. Keep trying for improvement on shifting. Trust me you will get rid of that stock shifter and pick up a shortie soon. 2nd to 3rd is a bitch to master, so many races are lost to beginners from grinding that gear. Do not stress highway racing yet until you get to know your stang. Know your car first then begin young padawan! LOL! But be safe first.
