Very nice! Somehow it accentuates the clean lines of the rest of the car. Our new AZ plates are fugly and cheap. They aren't even embossed anymore. I guess prisoner labor is getting expensive or something

South Dakota's new plates are more or less a sticker on a piece of tin....I hope they give us new plates when the new design comes out, and not just a sticker.....

when we did get our new plates, I went and requested to have 302 as the last 3 numbers so my plates are 14E 302....it didn't cost extra, she just called me when 302 was coming up. Not sure if you could do it in a big city, my local "town" only has 15 people for its population.....

Vanity Plates FTW!!!! Im glad mine was not taken.

Do you have a front plate law in CT? I noticed you dont have one but do you just not choose to put it on? We have a front plate law in Maine but they can go screw, Im not drilling holes in my front bumper to put one on. Didn't come w/ a plate mount from the factory so its not getting one either.

I don't drive the car a lot but I have gone by plenty of cops that pass me but no one has ever bothered me before. The laws here contradict themselves. Such as if you (god forbid) run the Euro tail lights its illegal b/c its not what it came with as far as factory specifications (of the red area of the light showing that lights up when you hit the brake) but if you car comes from the factory w/the Euro type tail lights as seen on some Lexus and SUV's then its fine b/c that was the factory specification. I would imagine that the same thing falls within the front plate law. My car never came w/ a front plate to mount it on from the factory so I don't see why I should have to put one on since the other lows are allowed to be skirted this way. BTW I was nailed for it once w/ my 95 GT a long time ago back then it was a $75 fine.

Rich, I want your car. You can keep the plate if you want.

Travis, they don't cut you any professional courtesy for no front plate? You are a corrections officer, right?

I wasnt then I was in my early 20's at the time. I passed the cop on the interstate b/c he slowed down to about 50 MPH (speed limit was 65) but he only slowed down b/c he saw me in his rear view mirror and wanted me to pass him so he could pull me over. It was a state trooper, I told him I had just gotten the front bumper replaced and the shop did not drill holes in it for the plate so I was waiting to get back in so they could do it (which was no lie it really was replaced) but he didn't care he gave me the ticket anyway, no warming or anything just jammed the $75 up my rectum.

But yeah since being a corrections officer I have gotten breaks (only while in uniform while driving from work showing your corrections ID is a no no ) Once pulled over they were just like hey have a good night and walked off. I can think of at least 2 occasions that's happened, none of them in the Mustang. I have not been pulled over in the 94 Cobra since I got it, knock on wood*
